How do I provide access or direct my clients to their client portal?

A step-by-step video for providing access to a client portal and promoting it to your clients

Sharing the setup link with a Client:

  1. Head to a client's record (Side Nav >> Clients >> Respective Client)
  2. Sending portal setup link (where a client creates their username and password)
    1. Sending manually via email or text:
      1. Under Additional Info, copy the 'Client Portal Setup' URL
      2. Paste in an email or text and send!
    2. Sending via email template:
      1. Head to Side Nav >> Email Templates >> Create New Template
      2. Name the Template and ensure 'Type' is set to 'Client'
      3. Add a subject line
      4. For the message section, ensure you include the following variable/tokens:
        1. Client Portal Setup URL - this link will take them to the setup page, where they can create an email and password
        2. Client Portal Login URL - this link will allow them to access the client portal moving forward
  3. Head back to the client record (Side Nav >> Clients >> Respective Client)
  4. Head to the 'Contact' tab and select Compose / Send >> Send Email
  5. Select the template you created and send!

How do I view a client's portal?

You can quickly see which clients have set up a portal by viewing this icon in the client tab:

You can view their client portal by clicking on 'Portal Active' or via Actions (in the top right) >> login to client portal:
